Dr. Cecchetti has over 36 years’ experience in biomedical informatics and biostatistics, now serving as the Director of the Division of Clinical Informatics at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. At Marshall, Dr. Cecchetti has developed and maintains a multi-institutional data warehouse, developed smartphone applications, developed predictive models using both structured and unstructured data, setup and maintains the Redcap survey tools, provides interactive visualization of that data for both operational and research purposes and teaches Clinical Informatics to Clinical and Translational Science students. Previously, Dr. Cecchetti worked at the University of Pittsburgh as the co-director of the Clinical Pharmacology Data Core with the role of developing both relational and multi-dimensional (OLAP) databases, developing web-based research forms, developing the research infrastructure and assisting with grant development for numerous research projects.
